Geo-mapping

The feature brings in the ability to easily capture and record patient GPS coordinates, then giving health care workers the best possible routes to their addresses on subsequent visits. The feature is very useful in patient tracing, since it gives the community health volunteers (CHVs) direction and distance to the patient address (GPS coordinates recorded in the EMR) thus reducing the hustle of manually locating the home of the patients. This feature comes as an optional feature that can be enabled or disabled from the server(OpenMRS instance) with the default setting being disabled.
